Magical Mermaid Barbie!!!! Perfect for bath time and water play!!!
I bought this doll originally as a gift. It wasn’t going to arrive on time, so I ordered an additional one that did arrive on time. Funny, they both arrived together. Of course my daughter has a mermaid barbie, but not the one that lights up. I was pretty pumped to get both. I was hesitant to let this go in the bath. The father of the girl I gifted it to said that his daughter used it in the tub all the time. So, I let Kendall use hers in the tub!!! This doll is awesome!! It lights up in many patterns under the water with no issue. Has been in the tub several times over the past 2 months and still going strong!!! I’ve purchased this doll for 2 more girls since my original purchases in December!! Now to level up the gift, I’ve purchased a rainbow bath bomb to add some extra fun!!!

Not extremely well made, but was reasonably priced and granddaughter loved it! Thatâs what mattered! She has taken great care of it and uses it every night in the tub/shower!

My 3 year old was obsessed with this doll when we saw it in the Amazon Store. I ordered it online and its exactly as you would expect. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because this is not waterproof. On the box there was a picture of the mermaid in water but we dunked her in the bath a few times and the battery and battery housing rusted in the 1st few weeks. New batteries wouldn’t work after this. So we cant do the light up tail anymore. But if you keep it out of water – 5 stars

Lighted Mermaid Barbie Rocks!
Love this Barbie mermaid. My 4 year old adores her. My daughter uses her in baths and showers. The light part has held up so far. And we’ve had her for almost 4 months… And we bath/shower regularly, lol. I plan to take this mermaid Barbie to disneyworld with us and any vacation for that matter where we will be swimming.I try to take this mermaid Barbie out and make sure she is rinsed and dried off in between showers/baths (just like any other toy) but even more bc of the lights. I keep getting worried that the light will stop working and the battery area will get corroded. But so far, so good. And there have been times when I haven’t taken her out of the shower and still no issues even though she’s in there when others shower so she’s getting more water than just when our 4 yr old is showering.Barbie Mermaid’s hair has also held up well. Doesn’t get tangled and all that like other barbies we have so that is an additional plus. I also kept her tiara in by not cutting away the plastic tags that keep the crown attached to her head. On another mermaid Barbie (not this lighted one) we did cut the tags and the tiara doesn’t stay on at all and I’m always afraid it’ll go down the drain if we use it in the bath/shower.Overall, the lighted Barbie mermaid is a hit and has held up! I’ll probably buy another if we ever need to get another one.
