Cute it’s tiny fun memories
This little system is so tiny and light . The controllers feel miniature. I laughed so hard when I held the controller, thinking, was I that small, or are these just shrunk-down versions? The classics are all there, andnd the graphics are what you’d expect. The controllers on the D-pad are just functional. You have to press very hard to get the right and up arrow to function properly. All those retro classic songs coming on remind me of the childhood of that system being ripped from the wall and controllers thrown at heads when your brothers lost. Some of the levels are hard; I played this when I was little, like 4-5 years old and on. This would be a great gift for those wanting kids to experience old-style games that parents grew up on in the 80s and 90s. It uses like no power maybe 5-10 watts . Would be fun for parties or chilling with old friends during the holidays. I love this little game system. Feels like a Pi system in a plastic shell it’s a little glitchy . Younger stuck on walls and stuff a a lot but I think some of that is the poor controllere not picking up a button press so I knocked a star off for that.

Does work out of the box, but games are a mess and input lag is pretty terrible.
Picked this up for the intended use, an NES Mini-alike, of which I already have one official unit. Unfortunately, they don’t compare favorably – while this is plug and play, the menu system is terribly laid out and hard to navigate. Many of the games are both there and in the “User Floder” – which only go from # to F. If you already have backups on hand to put on the TF card, this isn’t a big deal, but even if you do that and put all your games A-Z in the User Floder, you still have to navigate sequentially through the whole list from the top down, which takes forever.Once you find your game, you can look forward to input lag galore. I tried a few games which were mastered a long time ago, and while I can’t beat them literally blindfolded like some in the gaming community can, I’m certainly good enough to get through the first couple levels no sweat. The input lag, d-pad quality or both are awful. A Punch-Out fight even for the cupcake first fighters is brutal much less the ones that are actually challenging. I just can’t recommend this. The NES Classic managed to do it fine; slapping an emulator on a SoC and printing a weird purple case for it clearly just isn’t enough care.

Ten stars
This game console is AWESOME!! Tons and tons of old school games to chose from. I pugged it into a 50″ screen and was immediately able to play. I will say that I am a little rusty and struggled to pass the first level without dying. I am happy that they have extra controllers available because I can see myself wearing these out prematurely. Sure there might be a slight bit of lag with the controllers but to have over 750 games on a compact system for less than sixty bucks, this is a screaming deal. The only thing that would have made this system better is if I could’ve used wireless controllers but that would have increased the price exponentially.

Nostalgic gift
Got this little (and I mean little) NES-looking throwback for my son who is into all things Old Skool- especially gaming systems. Itâs cute and cool-looking at the same time. Once he uses it, Iâll be able to update its features and âplayabilityâ.
